This process allows surety companies extend or expand surety credit beyond that for which they might otherwise qualify. It helps reduce or remove some of the additional requirements that surety companies ask of contractors in the form of additional capital infusion, loan subordinations, higher quality financial statement presentation, or required levels of liquidity or net worth while still providing assurance that the job will be properly administered.

If funds control is required on a project the contractor will enter into an agreement with Northern Escrow, Inc. to manage the contract proceeds. Northern Escrow, Inc. will process the project disbursements after review of the pay app and vendor billings.
